Welcome to The Neue Argument Clinic.  In this blog I hope to communicate my thoughts and generate robust discussion, argument, and dissent.  As I am a scientist and physician this blog will be based on science. The thoughts are my own, the syntheses are my own, but many benefit enormously from the ideas of others. I will try to credit those thinkers when appropriate. This is not an academic exercise so I will permit myself to extend my thoughts from those based on scientific rigor to those that are more speculative but not beyond the bounds of scientific plausibility. 

The blog is named after a famous skit by the comedy group Monty Python’s Flying Circus in which a customer pays money for, what turns out to be, a futile argument. Indeed, like one of the characters in the skit, I might be arguing in my spare time.
